March 14, 2011

Hey fam.,well turns out we didnt have changes.. we found out last night but i kind of figured anyway cause we opened the area that we would be together another change.. its ok though we have some investigators that are progressing and so maybe we could have a baptism this change.. but ill talk about that later cause im gonna go down my list.. so one of my comps in canalitos that moved to the states is now serving in the ogden north mission i think and is in Logan ut serving on the campus of usu.. i thought that was pretty cool cause paul is a counselor there and might know him.. also i bought new shoes last monday..
they are hush puppies and super nice.. they cost me about 70 bucks but they are legit and a brand from the states.. its nice to have shoes with out holes in the soles or shoes that have traction! this week one of the elders got sick in carcha.. cause there are four of us so we went by to see if he or his comp needed anything.. we ended up helping them out and buying some food for them cause they couldnt leave the house.. i thought i am gonna be a good husband and father.. haha cause i like taking care of people and helping them.. and now i can even cook some stuff so i am learning a lot about cooking and cleaning and taking care of sick people..
anyway also i heard that they are gonna put a new rule on us where we have to use internet in the chapels.. thats ridiculous.. there are 3 computers in coban and 22 missionaries.. thats 7 hours of internet usage.. they say they are trying to save money but its less then a dollar to use internet for an hour in an internet cafe.. and if they are just doing it to monitor us so we dont use other websites thats retarded.. the machines supposedly are super slow and we wouldnt be able to send pics... im sorry but thats gay.. dont put more rules on us then we already have in the missionary guidebook!! more rules only hurt us.. the obedient elders.. the dumb ones will break the rules and go use internet in other places.. anyway i will stop complaining but that goes with the whole bball thing too.. dont hurt everyone for the decisions of a few stupid elders.. cause they arent gonna change and be obedient with more rules.. they will just rebel more.. if i ever get up to zone leader i will definately voice my opinion on that subject cause its RETARDED!!!
anyway on to brighter subjects.. me and my comp were talking and we did some good things last change.. mainly with antonio and rafael.. antonio never had been to church until we got there and now has been twice and he listens to us now.. he could be baptized this change but the thing is we cant pressure him cause he will back off fast if we do that.. and rafael has been to 2 church activities.. other missionaries had told us that him and antonio were really good investigators but wouldnt attend anything or go to church.. but we have made good leaps with each of them and this change we will see what we can do.. the members though are so important.. we can teach people bring them to church and baptize them but if the members dont help us in every aspect of the work our lessons wont be as good.. they wont be baptized or feel comfortable and wont stay active.. members are so important and its hard cause there arent many good members who help us out.. but yall help the missionaries where yall live!! they need help.. especially in the states.. give them references and go on visits with them!! it can change the investigators lives and strengthen yalls personal testimonies.. last week wasnt the best but eugenio is still going to institute and liking it a lot and we are making progress with him.. i dont have much time left but we put a baptismal date with a guy who told us he had a dream and that he should keep letting us visit him and that he should go along with the things we say.. we put the goal with him but i doubt itll go through cause he likes to drink a lot.. but somehting cool about latinos is that a lot times they get answers to there prayes through dreams.. its something we dont hear often in the states but sandy too the baptism i had in canalitos got her answer in a dream.. well i have 13 months now and the time is flying.. thanks for all the support yall give me and prayers.. keeping praying and asking God to strengthen yalls testimonies.. we all need to improve and through small and simple things we will grow and become who God wants us to be.. also General Conference is coming up and that will be a great opportunity to listen to the prophet and other leaders and make changes in our lives and grow in our testimonies that they are really called of God to lead us in theses Latter days!!love yall and take care!
